Introducing YOUR OUTDOORS

Mount Cook is proud to be hosting YOUR OUTDOORS this September, alongside the Derbyshire Eco Centre, the National Stone Centre, and the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. The event, which is supported by RAB, will be throughout all four venues on the 17th September 2022.

The purpose of the day will be to help people throughout the East Midlands to overcome barriers to the outdoors, through employment or leisure, with each venue focusing on a different theme, so there will be something for everyone!

Mount Cook will be focusing on getting into the outdoors through work, fun, and developing new skills. The Derbyshire Wildlife Trust will be teaching attendees about treading lightly, leaving no trace on the outdoors we interact with. The Derbyshire Eco Centre will be breaking down barriers of accessibility and underrepresented groups in the outdoors. The National Stone Centre will be focusing on bridging the gap of getting started in the outdoors with a new club or interest. The Steeple Grange Railway will also be taking guests up to the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust on their miniature steam train.
